The EPSM Advisory Council
William White
William White is the Speaker for the Advisory Council of EPSM, a group which advises the EPSM board on matters of programming and membership. Until his retirement, William represented Worldline and its predecessor company Banksys at EPSM; Banksys being the first non-DACH-based company to join EPSM.

During his time at Banksys and Worldline William was responsible for global sales of the range of payment terminals developed by those companies and widely used in Europe and beyond.

Edith Gruber
Edith Gruber is the Deputy Speaker for the Advisory Council to the board of EPSM. In her role in the Advisory Council, she supports the organisation of virtual and physical meetings by arranging speakers to talk about topics related to electronic payments.

She also works to acquire new members and partners. To this end, she draws on her extensive network in the payment industry. Her large network in the payment industry, where she has been active for several decades and continues to expand as a consultant, is a significant asset in this regard.

She has been part of the EPSM family since 2008.
Ian Web
Ian has enjoyed a 30+ year career in the Payments sector, successfully leading teams across several Merchant Acquirer, ePOS, and Currency Conversion businesses.

Based in the UK, Ian has been part of the EPSM family since 2018. He joined the EPSM Advisory Council in 2021, where he lends his insights and knowledge from partnering with numerous payment businesses across Europe.

Ian is a Director with membership organisation ‘IACTA’ (previously known as The DCC Forum). Here, he represents the interests of Acquirers, Merchants, and Cardholders alike with European regulatory bodies.

Monika Moser Bärlehner
Monika Moser Bärlehner is an expert in digital transformation and strategic innovation management with 15 years of experience in the financial and IT sector.

Her current role is Head of Wholesale Payments, PPI AG. With a focus on customer-oriented solutions, she advises banks and payment institutions in designing sustainable and compliant business models.

As an experienced moderator and initiator, she brings people together, promotes dialog at eye level and inspires with fresh perspectives.
William Vanobberghen
William has more than 35 years’ experience in standardisation, projects coordination and external affairs in card payments in Europe. He played a key role in allowing card payments to be recognised as a dedicated ISO 20022 domain and launched the very ISO 20022 Business Justification for cards (EPAS, now nexo).
William held various positions within EPASOrg and nexo (founding member, Convenor of various working groups, Secretary General and Member of the Board). He has also been initiating and coordinating various ICT EU funded projects. Among other activities related to card and payments, William oversees convening the ISO 20022 Cards SEG.
As Head of International Affairs, William ensures daily a close monitoring of the evolution of the EU regulation and the business market that may affect card payments in Europe and in France.
He holds a Degree in Commercial and Financial Sciences, a Degree and a Master in computer sciences as well as an Executive MBA from HEC Paris.
